I practice handbuilding as a spiritual practice driven by simplicity and spaciousness — each piece aims to distil an archetypal shape or texture, most often the sphere or egg, to its rawest essence.

Left unsigned, unglazed and porous, surface decoration often comes from the interplay of light and darkness and the marbling of different clay bodies.
 
I'm guided by fellow Romanian Constantin Brancusi's words: "Simplicity is complexity resolved" — form distilled to its very essence through continuous stripping back and subtraction.
