Ma (間) is one of the most beautiful concepts in Japanese aesthetics.

The character 間 literally means space or emptiness, but not in the sense of a meaningless gap. Instead, ma is the meaningful space between things—the pause that gives form, rhythm, and significance.

The Ma collection explores the vibrant void between inner and outer spheres, the shapes cast by light as it travels through the void, the shadow cast by the perforations, and the space the viewer mentally enters when peering into otherwise hidden spaces.
